The Halton Police Service will be hosting their annual Toy for Tots Event tomorrow November 15.
Each year off-duty uniform and civilian employees of the Halton Regional Police Service, and various local businesses, schools and sports organizations give their time to help this great event.
There will also be many senior police officials and former WWE star, Tiger Singh Jr. helping to kick start the campaign.
The initial objective is to “bring the joy of Christmas to needy children.” They want to deliver a message of hope that will build self-esteem and motivate children to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
Members of the community are asked for their help in donating new, unwrapped toys, Canadian Tire money, cash or gift cards at any Canadian Tire location in Halton Region or any Halton Regional Police Station.
This year the Halton Police Service has partnered with Canadian Tire, the Salvation Army, Mandarin Restaurant and Halton Honda to collect and provide toys to families in need.
In 2016 alone this event raised more than $248,810 in toys, gift cards, cash and food for 4,350 local families in need.
After the collection of toys several Halton officers will distribute the gifts to schools around the region as well as to the Burlington Hub (Our Kids Network).
Help give a child some joy and hope this Christmas by donating as much as you can to the Toys for Tots campaign.
Where: at the Fairview Canadian tire (777 Guelph Line, Burlington).
Start Time: November 15th, 2017 – 12:00pm
