March Break Activities – Oakville

Kids will be rejoicing because March Break will begin next week! And parents could still be wondering what activities or camps they should bring their kids to for the week.

Well, fret not parents! The Town of Oakville has many fun and exciting events for your kids to take part in all week long.


Get Moving

This event offers a vast variety of activities and special events across town, including free swims and skates. The Town is also offering a variety of camp programs to suit any taste from arts, adventure to science, athletics and more!

The Berenstain Bears

Take your whole family to go see this colourful new musical filled with fun. Go on down to sing and dance with Brother Bear, Sister Bear, Papa Bear, and Mama Bear, this musical will be a thrilling theatrical experience that kids and even parents will treasure for many years.

Go to Art Camp

Oakville Galleries is offering a week-long camp at Gairloch Gardens. This camp is designed to keep kids active and inspired while school’s out!

Kids will be able to participate in completing several artworks each day, they’ll learn new techniques and use a range of materials.

The last day of camp, participants will celebrate by having an exhibition of their creations for their family and friends.

YMCA Oakville

The YMCA is also offering camps for children 6-12. Campers will be able to participate in a wide range of activities including swimming, arts & crafts, rock climbing, themed days and special guests.

They also offer an overnight March break camp, for campers aged 11-14 years old. They will sleep in winterized cabins and eat in a winterized dining hall, they’ll be able to participate in group games and initiatives.

Travel The World

Oakville Museum can help you travel the world this March Break. Kids will be able to explore diverse cultures, artistic traditions, and learn history through a fun hands-on experience. The journey will start in Canada, then travel to Scotland, India, France, and Japan.

Maple Syrup Festival

The maple syrup festival will also be running through the March Break week at Bronte Creek, you can catch it from 9:30 am – 3 pm. We go into more details in our maple syrup days blog.
